I think McClintock had a pub near Highbury but may of had an interest in the Orange tree at some point.
A lovely pub particularly in the summer and does decent food
I used to go there regularly with my ex and would often see JK with his Mrs Bonnie or his football mates Barton Scales & Co.

I preferred the Three Hammers down the road in Mill Hill though for obvious reasons.

Wasn't the Orange Tree once owned/managed at one time by Frank McClintock

Seem to remember venturing over there from Burnt Oak on many a lunchtime drinking occasion.

Re: Joe Kinnear
I recall being at, I think, Ipswich away after Roeder was sacked and hearing it was a done deal that Kinnear would be announced as our new manager. Not long afterwards Pardew was appointed. I suspect it would have been an absolute car crash had there been any truth.

That press conference is gold though.

Had dementia for almost a decade so probably a blessing

Dont remember him as a player but he won the FA Cup, 2 League Cups & a UEFA Cup

Re: Joe Kinnear
Can't say I liked him if I'm being honest, but he did come from that old school type of football man and there's not many left now. Speaking of which, I caught a 23 min doc on Barry Fry, went out just a few days ago. A decent watch, has a few tales of course. He's 79 and still goes in every day at Peterborough.

Shame to hear that his. Scary that players and managers from my youth are so old and getting all hovis.
